Did you know there are 200 million insects for every human being? That’s a lot! Right? And all of them are essential for keeping planet Earth alive. Our goal in this activity will be to create a hotel so that insects can find shelter all year round. For this, we will use the micro:bit to measure the ambient temperature and find out what kind of insects come to our hotel in each season of the year. Additionally, you can use the template table to keep a small field journal of the changes you see.

After completing the creation of our insect hotel and placing all the elements in the correct place… Program the micro:bit so that, when the Touch sensor is pressed, the LED screen of the micro:bit board shows the ambient temperature.
